Book a Visit
Start feeling like yourself again — with a clinician who's actually trained for what's happening to you.
Sleep, mood, brain fog, hot flashes, libido — these aren't "just stress" or "just aging." They're perimenopause, and most clinicians weren't trained for it. We were.
Sixty minutes to slow down, connect the dots, and talk through real options with Crystal Burke, FNP-C — Menopause Society Certified.

Before You Book
Two things you need to know first.
Please read these before booking — they protect your appointment time and ours.
You must be in Louisiana
You must be physically located in Louisiana during your visit — including video visits. This is a state licensing requirement, not a preference.
If you live out of state but travel to Louisiana, you can book a visit while you're here. Mississippi expansion is planned within the next year — see the waitlist below if that's you.
Paperwork is required 24 hours before
Your intake forms are emailed immediately after booking and must be completed at least 24 hours before your visit. Without them, your appointment will need to be rescheduled.
Watch your inbox right after booking for an email from no-reply@optimantra.com — and please check your spam folder if you don't see it within a few minutes.
What to Expect
Sixty minutes focused on you.
Not rushed. Not dismissive. A real clinical visit, focused entirely on understanding what's happening and what your options are.
During your visit
- A full 60 minutes — your symptoms, your history, your goals
- Review of sleep, hot flashes, mood, brain fog, libido, vaginal and urinary symptoms, bleeding, medications, and risk factors
- Discussion of hormone therapy, non-hormonal options, vaginal estrogen, testosterone when appropriate, and labs if needed
- Realistic expectations: what tends to improve quickly, what takes longer, what needs follow-up
- Time for your questions — no rushing
After your visit
- You won't leave with a written prescription. Hormone therapy requires follow-up, lab work, and dose adjustment — that happens through continued care, not from a single appointment
- If treatment is right for you and you'd like us to manage it, that begins with membership — prescriptions, refills, labs, and dose work all happen there
- If you're not ready to continue with us, that's fine — no pressure during the visit, no obligation after
- The visit itself is an evaluation and a conversation. Treatment decisions get made together, over time, as part of continued care
How Treatment Actually Works
Hormone therapy isn't a one-shot fix.
There's no single dose that works for every woman. Your hormones, your symptoms, and your response to treatment are yours — and they don't always match what the textbook predicts.
Good hormone care starts where the evidence points, then gets adjusted based on how you respond. Most patients see meaningful improvement within 6–8 weeks of landing on the right dose. Getting there usually takes a couple of adjustments along the way, guided by what you're feeling and what your labs show.
That's the part that doesn't happen at a single visit or from a one-time prescription. It's why ongoing care exists.
Real Outcomes
Care that actually moves the needle.
96%
of patients report significant symptom improvement within 3 months.
90%+
of patients remain in care after a year of treatment.
Specialized,
not a side specialty
Most clinicians get a few hours of menopause training. Crystal is certified by The Menopause Society — specifically tested and trained in hormone therapy, perimenopause, menopause, and women's sexual health. You won't be told it's "just stress." You won't have to teach your provider what's happening to you.
These outcomes come from ongoing care and the careful adjustment work it makes possible — not from single prescriptions.
Based on internal patient-reported outcomes and retention data from The Menopause Clinic. Individual results vary.
How Care Works Between Visits
Your treatment can be adjusted without you taking time off work.
Sometimes you'll notice something off. Sometimes a lab result will tell us something you haven't felt yet. Either way, you can keep your treatment moving forward through your patient portal — no appointment needed for most adjustments.
Something needs review
You notice a symptom change, your labs come back, or it's time for a scheduled check-in.
You send an update
A quick update through your portal tells us how you're feeling, what's changed, and any side effects or refill needs.
Your clinician reviews it
Your update gets reviewed in the context of your treatment, your labs, and where you are in your care.
We respond
Hold the course, adjust a dose, send a refill, order labs, or — if it's the right call — schedule a video visit.
Your care keeps moving
No starting over. No waiting weeks. No appointment required for every change.
After Your Visit
If treatment is right for you, continued care happens through membership.
Membership covers what happens after you start treatment: your prescriptions and refills, lab orders and review, dose adjustments along the way, messaging with your clinician between visits, included video visits when you want one, and an annual in-person review. You don't need to decide anything before your first visit — we'll walk through it together if and when it's the right fit.
See membership detailsPayment & Insurance
We're self-pay — and that's by design.
Insurance limits visit time and rarely covers the kind of ongoing care hormone treatment actually needs. Skipping insurance paperwork means more time goes into your care.
- Credit cards, FSA, and HSA cards accepted
- Superbills available on request for out-of-network reimbursement
- Prescriptions go to your preferred pharmacy; coverage depends on your plan
- Labs can be cash-pay or run through your insurance — we'll talk about whether labs are needed
Medicare or Medicaid: Federal regulations prevent us from offering private membership agreements to Medicare or Medicaid enrollees, even out-of-pocket. The first visit itself is still available to you.
