How to reach us
Your membership includes care between appointments. That's not an extra — it's how your treatment gets adjusted without waiting for a visit. Use the door that matches what you need and you'll get the right answer, faster.
1. Need a refill or a dose change? Start at menopauselouisiana.com/refill
Prescriptions are written for 90 days and renewed from your Symptom & Treatment Update. One page, three paths:
- Same dose, nothing to discuss → the refill form. Done.
- Want a dose change, or recommendations and options → submit a Symptom & Treatment Update. This is your Online Visit: your clinician compares it with your last update and recommends what to change. You'll hear back within 3 business days, and you'll be asked before anything goes to the pharmacy.
- Want to talk it through → book a Video Visit. Discussion only — side effects or problems go to the portal (door 2).
2. Something specific is wrong? Message your clinician in the patient portal.
New symptom, side effect, a question about a lab result, or a problem with your medication — these need your clinician, so they go through the portal, where your chart is. Log in to your portal.
- Messages with a specific concern get a recommendation within 24 hours, Monday–Friday.
- Please don't text clinical questions. Texts aren't reviewed by your clinician, so your question will be slower, not faster.
3. Scheduling, pharmacy, or billing? Text us.
Which pharmacy has your medication in stock, appointment changes, payment questions. Text 504-389-2078 and you'll get an answer within one business day during office hours (Monday–Friday, 9 AM–5 PM Central).
When to book an appointment instead
- You'd rather talk than type — book a Video Visit (discussion, not problems).
- You're starting testosterone, or you're due for a testosterone refill — these require an Office Visit.
- Your clinician asks you to.
Check your membership for the visits included in your package. Additional visits are $50 for a Video Visit and $100 for an Office Visit. Testosterone visits are priced separately.
What to expect
Most women feel the real difference around month three, not week three, with a dose adjustment or two along the way. New members: send your first Symptom & Treatment Update at about 4 weeks — don't wait for your prescription to run out.
If something is urgent
If you think you're having a medical emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. None of the doors above are monitored overnight or on weekends.
