Continuing Testosterone

Three things keep your refills on track: a symptom check-in every 3 months, labs every 6 months, and a visit at least once a year — or before your refill, whichever comes first. Your annual consent is signed with your provider at that visit.

Plan ahead: most patients' medication lasts 8–10 months, so your visit is usually due before the 12-month mark, not on your anniversary date. Schedule it 2–3 weeks before you expect to run out — no current visit, no refill.

Symptom check-in

Update your labs

Needed every 6 months to continue therapy — not tied to every refill. Here's the easiest way to do it:

Cash-pay through Rupa Labs

Usually under $120. We send the order, Rupa emails you instructions, and results come directly to us — nothing for you to track down or upload.

Paying with insurance instead?

Only cheaper if your out-of-pocket cost is under $150 — otherwise cash-pay is both less expensive and less work. With insurance, retrieving and uploading your results is your responsibility; we have no visibility into outside labs.

Stop biotin 72 hours before your draw — including B7 or Vitamin H supplements, which can interfere with results.

Your in-person visit

Required to continue prescribing. Complete your symptom check-in before you come in, and you'll sign your annual consent with your provider at the visit itself.
